Turkish National Identity and the EU under the AKP: A Discursive Approach

This paper explores the discursive performance and political significance of American exceptionalism under the Obama presidency, and its consequences for US foreign and security policy. The paper proposes theories examining the interplay between national identity and public goods provision, then shows empirically that the most nationalistic countries excel" in poor provision of public goods.
