Abstract:
In a broadly constructivist context, the article uses Foreign Policy Discourse Analysis, a form of analysis based on Foucault’s conception of discourse, in order to examine the discourse of the ruling AKP (Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi – Justice and Home Affairs Party) on the Turkish accession process to the EU in the context of broader discourses on state and nation and on discourses of self and other vis a vis Europe.
